  • “I’m Fine”- Nashville Indie Band ‘The Jetglows’ go for 10

    Nashville, TN – 7/2/24 – Nashville-based indie band “The Jetglows” to release new single ‘I’m Fine’ July 5th, 2024.

    Upcoming single ‘I’m Fine” is the tenth single to be released by Nashville Indie-Pop/Rock band, The Jetglows, since their December 1, 2023 debut single ‘Pictures of You‘ .

    The Jetglows are a Nashville-based indie band that formed in the middle of 2023 and quickly got to work producing radio-friendly, alternative and pop/rock songs.

    “We originally met each other growing up Phoenix, Arizona ” says singer/guitarist Gina Partin. “We formed a band, wrote and released some songs, played a few gigs and then kind of all went our separate ways. Todd was off to college, Travis went to go be some famous, hot-shot drummer, Tim went down to Georgia looking for a soul to steal, and I ended up back in my native California to cool off after Phoenix was done baking me. We kept in touch over the years, but recently the stars all aligned and we found ourselves making music together again – and having a great time doing it!

    “I’m Fine will be our tenth single. It’s a song that I brought to the band in it’s basic form – originally recorded as a demo on acoustic guitar with a vocal and Travis’ drums a couple years ago. It sat around until we formed a band and decided to work on it as a band. It’s an upbeat, happy love song about staying in bed all day and hanging out with the one you love.

    “Travis took charge of mixing the song and producing it. Todd added electric guitars, 12 string acoustic, and a baritone guitar for the lead. Tim did his bass thing and also added a walkup section toward the end, which Travis ended up using as a repeating hook. The song really came to life and gained a lot of energy. We’re pretty happy with how it turned out”

    “I’m really enjoying working with Gina, Tim and Todd again. It’s so interesting and fun to work with these same personalities, but we’ve all gained so much more experience since the first time around.
    And for me, as compared to my ‘session musician for hire’ day job, being in a band again as opposed to a sideman sparks a fresh kind of creativity that’s very satisfying.” Says drummer/producer Travis McNabb.

    “Bad Me” is a single recently released by Nashville-based indie-rock band “The Jetglows”

    “Bad Me was written during a tough time for me”, recalls Gina Partin of The Jetglows. “It was a low point. The lyrics reflect how I was feeling – which was abandoned and alone. The lyrics do seem a little dark, but really were not meant to be taken that way – the main point being an expression of feeling hurt. My best friend ghosted me, then another close friend did the same. My relationship with my father was to the point that we were really not speaking. Then, and this was a year into Covid 19 and Christmas was coming, I’d found out second-hand that there was a family gathering that everyone but me was invited to.
    So yeah …. bad vibes. lol”

    Nashville, TN – 6/2/24 – Timothy Ferguson Recalls ‘Pictures of You’
    




    There are occasions when a song will “take you somewhere”. It could be a mood or a feeling that the song creates or it could fire up your imagination as your listening.
    




    PICTURES OF YOU is a song like that. A simple, melodic song with chiming guitars and a strong, dynamic beat. However, it also offers something more. A true story….!
    




    Bassist, Timothy Ferguson explains……..
    




    “I picked up my acoustic that morning. Coffee in one hand and my acoustic in the other. Almost instantly I started chording the verse in kind of an aggressive style. Then, a memory came flooding back to me. Why or what triggered it I have no idea but I was remembering sitting with my brother and the rest of my family after he returned from Vietnam. Like many during that era my brother was drafted and served in the Army. He has always been a shutter bug. A great photographer. He had purchased a 35mm camera that he always seemed to be wearing. When he returned to the states he had HUNDREDS of pictures he had taken. One evening we sat down and viewed those pictures and listened as he explained and narrated each one. He still has many of those pictures and I don’t think anyone has seen them since then.
    




    As I was strumming the acoustic I began transferring those images and memories I had as a kid into words and lyrics. Everything that came out was real and told a true story!
    




    He had been to Japan with his camera in hand. He was already really good at capturing the subject he wanted. During his tour he had photographed amazing shots. He had been flown in and out of VIETNAM on a Bell UH-1 helicopter. A “Huey”. Thankfully, he returned home safe. Not only did he have those incredible pictures but he had the camera he took them with. Some of the pictures had him in the shot because he used his timer. Giving him the chance to step in front of the lense. That’s where the chorus lyrics come in …… Pictures Of You….!
    




    I feel like this song captured that memory and moment in time for me. The melody and lyrics kind of fused together. It’s sometimes difficult to tell a story in a song in less than 3 1/2 minutes. Especially if it’s full of details and feeling. This is as close as I could get. I hope this song captures something memorable for the listeners”….!
    




    ‘Pictures of You, ‘ released December 1, 2023, was the first song released by The Jetglows, The Nashville-based indie-rock band has since released eight other singles, with an upcoming album planned for later this year.

    Nashville, TN – 5/24/24 – Nashville-based indie rock band “The Jetglows” new single “Erase The Lines.”

    Erase The Lines is an indie-rock song with a somewhat unconventional arrangement. The bass part comes and goes, vocals pan around, while guitar and keyboard elements eb and flow. A powerful lead synth section drops off into a stripped- down acoustic/vocal section over an echoing synth sound. 

    Erase The Lines was recorded in band members’ studios from Los Angles to Nashville and Georgia to Florida and was mixed in Los Angeles by Gina Partin . Mastering took place at LoadFactor Studios in Winter Springs, FL.

    Nashville Indie Rock band ‘The Jetglows’ Release Soundgarden-like Grunge Rocker ‘OCEAN’
    
			
    

    Nashville, TN – 5/17/24 – Nashville-based indie rock band “The Jetglows” announces their new alt-rock single “OCEAN,” released on May 17th, 2024.
    




    “OCEAN departs a little bit from the style of our previous two singles in that this one is a real grunge-type, alt rocker,” says guitarist Gina Partin. “We didn’t set out trying to emulate anyone, but we think OCEAN has a “Soundgarden” meets “King’s X” kind of vibe. We’re excited about the energy and sound of this track”
    




    OCEAN was recorded in band members’ studios from Los Angles to Nashville and Georgia to Florida and was mixed in Nashville by drummer/producer Travis McNabb. Mastering took place at LoadFactor Studios in Winter Springs, FL.
